I feel following could be a possible answer while referring my textbooks.

Transgenic refers to genetically modified organisms that contain a foreign gene. It is the genetic material that is transferred naturally or by any genetic engineering techniques from one organism to another organism. This technique is used in laboratories for transgenic research to study human disease genes. Transgenic plant which is referred as genetically modified plants aim to introduce new train to plants primarily to resist certain pests, diseases etc. Ornamental plants are provided us by Transgenic technology as well.
