Diseases which can spread from infected person to healthy person are called communicable diseases. Communicable diseases are also known as infectious diseases. It spread through air, water, food and contact.

PNEUMONIA, INFLUENZA, POLIO, TYPHOID, MEASLES, CHOLERA, MUMPS, CHICKENPOX, TUBERCULOSIS and AIDS are some communicable diseases. Chicken pox is one of the highly contagious/communicable diseases.

These diseases are caused by very tiny organisms called germs and parasites.
