Persons who have recovered from typhoid despite the fact that they continue to spread the bacteria of disease.

A person may become an asymptomatic carrier (healthy carrier) of typhoid fever, who has contracted an infectious disease although presently suffers no symptoms of the disease, but capable of infecting others.

We may refer the case of Mary Mallon, also known as Typhoid Mary, a cook in New York, the most dangerous woman in America, and how as a typhoid carrier Mary spread typhoid to others. Even though Mary was healthy, she still carried the bacteria in her body.
