PLANT PROPAGATION BY TUBEROUS ROOTS:

  1. Tuberous roots are irregularly swollen and somewhat spindle shaped due to storage of food.
  2. These roots bear adventitious buds from which the new plants arise.
  3. If found in clusters are called fasciculated. Eg. Asparagus, Dahlia.
  4. Plant propagation by tuberous roots takes place in Ipomoea batatas (Sweet potato)
