Domain:
Domain is the
highest taxonomic rank
of organisms.
It is
higher than kingdom
.
It is also called
Super kingdom
or
empire
or
superregnum.
The
three domain system
of classification was given by
Carl Woese.
According to the three domain system of classification, organisms were grouped under three domains –
Domain Bacteria, Domain Archaea and Domain Eukaryota
.
Division:
Division is
the highest category of classification
with
largest taxon.
It includes all
closely related classes
.
Eg.

belongs to
Division Pteridophyta
