Evaporation

Vaporization

1. The evaporation changes the matter in the liquid state to the gas.

1. Vaporization changes the matter from the solid or liquid phase to gas phase.

2. The evaporation occurs when there is optimum heat, humidity and movement of air.

2. The vaporization occurs during the boiling or sublimation process.

3. Evaporation is a slow process which requires more energy. Since these molecules have high tendency to convert into vapor phase.

3. Vaporization is a fast process which requires less energy.

4. When the molecules of the upper surface of the liquid has enough kinetic energy to break apart. Then these molecules can be converted in to the gas state even without reaching the boiling point.

4. But during vaporization when the liquid is converted to gaseous state the boiling point is reached.
