Huxley called protoplasm to be
physical basis of life .
REASONS:-
Every cell consists of protoplasm, a cell without protoplasm is considered to be dead.
Protoplasm ,(mainly cytoplasm ) is the main arena for cellular activities like glycolysis etc .
Life is not possible without protoplasm hence called physical basis of life i.e a physical thing/matter that supports life.
