Internodes

1. The point of attachment of the leaf is called node.

1. The portion between the two nodes is known as the internode.

2. Identified by the presence of scars or buds, leaves or branches in this region.

2. Absence of scars or any parts such as buds, leaves, branches.

3. Nodes are regions of great cellular activity and growth.

3. The activity of cells in the internode maximize the distance between the nodes there by increases the length of the plant.
