The lactobacillus acidophilus is the bacterial species which are found in the mucosal lining of the small intestine, vagina and cervix. It can also be found in the dairy products such as the yogurt, cheese etc.  It is one of the most commonly used probiotic microorganism which are used to promote the health. It produces the vitamin K, lactase which is beneficial to human.
