Cold blooded animals also known as poikilotherms.  Cold blooded animal’s body temperature depends on whether it’s cold or hot outside. It cannot regulate its temperature on own except by behavioral means. When the surrounding is hot their body becomes warmer and in cold environment they become colder. Cold blooded animal bask under sun to make their body warm and to become cool they undergo in a shady area.

Generally in hot temperatures they become more active and in colder seasons they become sluggish.

Examples: Lizards, snakes, frogs, spiders, crocodiles, turtles etc. (All Fishes, Amphibians and Reptiles)
