There is no difference in mitotic and meiotic interphase. Interphase is divided into G1, S and G2 phase when the cell prepares itself for cell division. Protein synthesis, DNA replication occurs at this time. The cell also passes through different checkpoints whereby any DNA damage is monitored and repaired.
