The turgor movements maybe contact movement and the sleep movement. This movement is due to the change in the internal turgor pressure. The turgor movement is due to the turgor changes by electric charges released due to contact from outside or variation in light or temperature. The cells involved in this are parenchyma tissue of the cortex or the pulvini present at the base of the leaf. Sudden movement of the bladderworts, folding of leaves in Mimosa pudica etc. is some of the movements.
