Bundle Sheaths - A layer of parenchyma and/or sclerenchyma cells surrounding a vascular bundle, a jacket of thicker-walled parenchyma cells.
In C4 photosynthesis pathway, carbon dioxide is converted into an organic acids in mesophyll cells. In C4 plants bundle sheath cells contain chloroplasts and are the site of the Calvin cycle.
