The sclerenchyma is located in the hard part like the seed coat and endocarp of fruits there by protect the internal soft parts. They occur as a group in the different parts of the plant body. In some dicot plants it occurs in the outermost part of the primary phloem where as the stem of certain monocot has the sclerenchyma in the bundle sheath cells.
