Cell wall is a plant organelle made of cellulose which provides it structural strength. Thus, cell wall provides strength and protection to plant from exterior environment. It also has plasmodesmata which helps by providing a passage of material from one cell to another. Cell wall is rigid and provides turgidity to the cell and therefore prevents it from bursting . It is otherwise dead and has no much use. But a plant cell's life would not be possible without it because it is what protests cell in each case.
