The auxins which are produced at the tip of the plant can control the essential role in the growth of the plant. It play controls the vertical growth in shoots. The auxins present in the stem are transported to the shady side of the plant so that the other side grows and therefore bend towards the light. Removal of the apical bud allows the lateral buds to grow and can produce new shoots. By the process of pruning remarkable designs or patterns can be created.
