During the respiration process all the chemical energy that is stored in the respiratory substrates are broken down and releases the energy. This energy released during respiration is used to synthesize ATP molecule. This energy is used for different necessary functions. So without cellular respiration the cell can’t remain alive. The carbon which is produced as a product of respiration is used for the biosynthesis of molecules in the cell.
