  1. The pollutants which cannot be degraded or decomposed very slowly by chemical and biological methods are known as Non- bio- degradable pollutants.
  2. Such pollutants are stable and degrade very slowly.
  3. These pollutants enter in the body of organism through bio- geo- chemical cycles and food chain.
  4. Accumulation of organisms is called Biological magnification.

eg.  Aluminium cans, Mercurial salts, Phenolic compounds.

D.D.T, B.H.C, Hydrocarbons, Pesticide, Plastic and Polythene bags are Non biodegradable pollutants.
