The time during which most women slowly stop menstruating is called menopause. It occurs
usually at around the age of 50 and more likely between ages 45 and 55.
If menopause occurs before age 45 it is considered as early menopause.
This time a woman no longer ovulates as woman’s follicles are either matured or degenerated. Without follicles ovaries stops secreting estrogen and progesterone to continue menstrual cycle, consequently menstruation stops.
