  2. Basically the nervous system is formed of nerve cells or neurons.

  4. Neurons are excitable cells because their membranes are in a polarized state i.e. different ions interact with the membrane to change polarization consequently neuron becomes excited.
  5. They also help in realizing, analyzing and storing messages.

  7. The network of interconnected neurons in the nerves, brain and spinal cord have highly complicated methods of functioning.
