The polysaccharide cellulose acts as the chief structural material of the plant cell wall.

Starch serves as the major reserve food material in plants. It is stored in the seed in young plants and acts as a reserve food material till the plant is capable of synthesizing its own food through photosynthesis.

Pectin and hemicelluloses are structural polysaccharides which are present in the plant cell wall.
