T-cells

  1. They are responsible for cell mediated immunity
  2. Life span is long
  3. Differentiate inside Thymus Gland
  4. Absence of surface antibodies
  5. Transformed in small lymphocytes by antigens
  6. They secrete Lymphokines
  7. Their sub population are Cytotoxic T cells, Helper cells and suppressor cells.
  8. They stimulate phagocytes and B-cells into activity.

B-cells

  1. They are responsible for Humoral immunity
  2. Life span is short
  3. Differentiate inside the Bone Marrow
  4. Surface Antibodies present
  5. Transformed to plasma cells by antigens
  6. They secrete antibodies
  7. Their sub population are memory cells and plasma cells
  8. B-cells or B-lymphocytes produce antibodies
