The non-vascular plants have stem and leaves like structure. Instead of roots they possess rhizoids.

Vascular plants possess true stem leaves and roots.

The non-vascular plants are soft, short leafy plants.

They have lignification in the xylem tissue which makes them strong and rigid.

The dominant phase of the non-vascular plants is the gametophytic plant body.
