The four essential components critical to coagulation (clotting factors) are Prothrombin, Thrombin, Fibrinogen, Fibrin.

Fibrinogen is an inactive plasma protein and once activated, fibrinogen forms a blood clot.

Fibrinogen is exactly an inactive and soluble fibre like structure . This fibrinogen when comes in contact with thrombin, it converts to active and insoluble fibre lyk structure called as Fibrin ....these fibrin then enmesh the blood corpuscles and form a clot at the site of injury

Fibrinogen helps in the formation of blood clots/Blood coagulation (also known as clotting)

It is an inactive plasma protein and once fibrinogen is activated, it forms a blood clot.
